Look My Trips started very simply, from my notes app and too many screenshots.
I used to plan trips the way most people do, reading blogs, saving pins, trusting lists that looked good but didn’t always work in real life. Then I’d land somewhere and realize half of it didn’t make sense once you were actually there. Distances were longer, days were heavier, and some “must-see” spots just felt… fine.
So I began writing my own routes after each trip, not before. What days flowed well, where I moved too fast, where I stayed longer than planned. I’m a solo traveler from the US, and I plan everything myself, flights, trains, hotels, mistakes included. I travel a lot, but not endlessly, so every trip here is something I thought through carefully.
This site isn’t about being an expert or traveling nonstop. It’s about showing how trips really unfold when you’re the one carrying your bag, missing a connection, or changing plans last minute. Some guides are slow, some are intense, some are slightly chaotic. That’s intentional.
Look My Trips means see routes that actually work in real life. Routes I’d do again, recommend to a friend, or tweak just a little next time. If you’re tired of perfect travel content and want something honest, you’re in the right place.
